Costa Rica Hacienda Miramonte Zingerman’s Reserve

We are especially excited to announce this month’s Roaster’s Pick from the Zingerman’s Reserve at farm Hacienda Miramonte. The collaboration between Zingerman’s Coffee Company and Hacienda Miramonte is unlike any other partnership in the past. This coffee comes to us from Costa Rica’s Naranjo Region – an area that has won the Cup of Excellence award the past four years.

Hacienda Miramonte was started in 1917 by the matriarch of the Gurdian family, Lucila Duval de Morales. The farm has now been in the family for nearly 100 years! Hacienda Miramonte is committed to growing quality coffees and to giving back to their employees and local community.

This coffee was especially chosen from the finest lots of Hacienda Miramonte, where Zingerman’s Coffee Company had first pick from all of the coffee crops. This coffee, which was picked from the best cherries on the farm, is considered the Zingerman’s Reserve. This coffee’s preparation is the “pure honey” process. The result of this process lends an amazing sweetness and juiciness to an already lively and cocoay coffee.

The collaboration with Hacienda Miramonte not only provides for high quality, extraordinary coffee, but also for a sustainable partnership. We hope you enjoy this amazing coffee from Costa Rica as much as we do!
